Our Story: A Journey from Family Crafts to Candle Creations

At Everlasting Light Candle Co., our story begins with a love for crafting that runs deep in our family. From a young age, I was surrounded by the creativity of my mother and grandmother, both of whom spent hours perfecting their craft projects. As I grew older, I joined in, learning the art of crafting alongside them.

After spending over 20 years in the restaurant industry, I found myself yearning for a new venture—something I could do on my own terms, with the freedom to work at my discretion. My passion for candles had always been there, so I decided to explore this interest further. My first attempt was with a kit to make tapered candles, but let’s just say that didn’t go as planned. Undeterred, I tried again, this time with a kit to make jar candles. Not only was it fun to make, but I also enjoyed burning the candles I created.

I started selling my handmade candles at the local farmers market in simple jelly jars. While the response was good, I wanted to create something truly unique—something that would stand out from the rest. So, I turned to the internet for inspiration and discovered the world of food-inspired candles. It was the perfect blend of my culinary background and my newfound passion for candle making.

I found a mentor who offered classes on making dessert-themed candles, and that’s when everything clicked. The journey from simple jelly jar candles to luxurious, food-inspired creations took off, and Everlasting Light Candle Co. was born. Our candles are designed to evoke the senses with the sweet smells of comfort food, all while reflecting the artistry and care that has always been a part of my story.
